Benefits for Vacuum Users

PSI Global supplies vacuum separators to many of the industry’s leading OEMs and through close collaboration with customers the company has become a market leader in the complex field of separation technology.
The company's vacuum oil-mist eliminators are the natural choice for overcoming inherent industry problems of energy loss and pollution:

Polluting exhausts

Exhausts from oil-lubricated vacuum pumps contain oil aerosol droplets which, if allowed to enter the atmosphere can endanger personnel and equipment. International occupational health and safety standards now require that oil mist be reduced to 5 mg/m3.

PSI Global’s coalescing separators reduce oil mist to 1-3 mg/m3

Energy wastage

In order for a vacuum pump to work efficiently any disruption to the airflow must be minimised. If air cannot flow smoothly through the separator, the resulting backpressure works against the pump, requiring a higher energy input.
Pressure drop across the separator deteriorates over time if the element becomes clogged with oil.

The moulded media in PSI Global’s separators exhibits exceptionally low pressure drop and the coalesced oil droplets drain away quickly, ensuring that the separator remains clear of residue.

Loss of oil

Oil that escapes into the atmosphere or remains inside a filter cannot be re-circulated through the pump, leading to higher oil consumption.

PSI Global’s vacuum separators retrieve almost all the oil from the exhaust air, allowing it to be re-used within the pump.
